Ohio's working parents need more family-friendly federal policies to make it easier to balance work and family. That's why Work Family Balance is organizing the Ohio Coalition for Work Family Balance. Together as Ohioans, we can urge Ohio's members of Congress to prioritize supporting working parents and children.
Advocating for Working Parents & Children
As an organization, advocacy is an important part of the work we do to support working parents and children. However, in order to be effective advocates, we must build a diverse coalition of Ohioans, including families in rural, urban, and suburban communities, small and large businesses, and community organizations to effectively advocate for more family-friendly federal policies.
Poor Work Life Balance is Bad for Ohio's Families & Businesses
Families and businesses make excellent partners and leaders for change because both are significantly affected by poor work life balance. For families and businesses the problem is the same. The problem is one of quality.
For families, quality of life goes down, including poor physical and mental health, with low or inadequate work life balance, and for businesses, quality of work and productivity goes down when workers have poor work life balance.

We're building our coalition of partners so we can be more effective advocates for family-friendly federal policies. It will take a diverse, family, business, and community centered coalition of Ohioans to achieve better public policies that better support working parents and make it easier for workers to balance work and family.
